|||Have to admit, Halloween always holds a special place in my heart in terms of guild wars events, i remember the first one way back in 2005 and remember being blow away by the redecorated towns, Anet amazed me back then, and they still do now

Gonna have to find a balance of trick or treat bag hunting and enjoying the festivities!

From the sounds of that interview there might be new costumes to buy too, so if that's the case i cannot wait to see the designs.....skeletal body with our normal flesh heads.....black cloaks......ghostly costume to make us see through....or even something similar to Grenths Regalia from last Christmas, I'll be happy with anything spooky =D

And with them saying "You wont believe what they have in store for Halloween", maybe we might get new quests too similar to Dhuum last year? (My god has it been a year already? )

And i personally like his repeated jokes, i think its a certain nostalgia to hear them again and again, its part of his charm imo, but new ones will be fine too

Looking forward to the festivities, i may finally try the Costume brawl this year ! :D

- Tsukasa|||Wow this year sounds great! I'm looking forward to seeing the costumes (have to save up more money now) and the ghost walk sounds very interesting! Next Friday I believe is Oct. 1 so the event will be here before we know it! Now I have to make another video. lol I do wonder what the new masks will be - I hope they're more face paints, as I like them better since they don't hide the hair. I'm expecting a vampire mask of some sort, since they did make a werewolf and pretty much everything else. A Frankenstein face paint would also be cool. As for the costumes, I'd laugh if we got a Mad King Thorn or candy corn costume.|||You know... I still have a stack of capped skeletons from UW. I gotta wonder if there's anything we can do with those this year, or are they now considered a dead inventory item.

Hell, I still have charas with the 'go talk to the reaper' quest active. Although I've never fully done UW since the update.|||yep, always liked halloween (easy when you have a silbings birthday that day)...so always liked to have up decorations and yes I remember the first halloween as well...getting the pumpkin crown with my ele...still have it too (though it was shown to the hat maker, I kept it)....it was so exciting to see the towns all decorated and npc's changed .....

so I expect 2 new masks (they have been going down in quality since the pumpkin heads I think) and 2 more costumes to buy (maybe something like the mad king wears???)

cant wait...since halloween is basically the start of the holiday season (thanksgiving and xmas...) it means that good things arent very far away!!!|||I would like to see a costume not exactly like Mad Kings, but maybe something like it yea. A costume that would look good with most masks so far. Even a few new costumes to specifically go with some of the masks so far :).

I am hoping for a vampire face paint this year, that gives your avatar fangs ^^. As TW said, a Frankenstein masks seems plausible too compared to the other classic monster masks we have received so far.

I totally forgot about Dhuum. Yes, it would be cool if they did some more Halloween quests.|||I would by this costume

But I'm guessing they'd have to pay Cassandra Peterson some royalties to use it.

Same on both counts, but i collect "Dead items" from the events themselves, they feel truly "Rare" to me, i still have some jade wind orbs from day of the Tengu and a zaishen medalion from the Nightfall PvP preview weekend just for collectors sake

And quite a few of my characters have that quest still on too, and they most likely will do for the rest of GW existence, could never finish the UW before Dhuum came along, and now im certain i never will, maybe 7 hero partys will change that, but im not holding my breath ^^;

Would have been nice imo if for people who had the quest, we were taken into the instance to fight Dhuum only, and the fight is just added on when people do all the other quests like it is now, but for those of us who lack the skill(s) knowledge or team formations to finish the UW, it would have been nice if the quest just allowed us to do the Dhuum "Boss" fight, like how the battle for lions arch or the glacial griffon fight played out, small instance with just that area of the UW in.

Maybe we get a side story that ends with a battle with Menzies this year?

Seriously though i'll be happy with the same event as usual, but with the two costumes (If there are actually costumes) to which i agree, a mad king costume would look sweet (Bad pun xP), suppose they could go a number of ways with it, if we get a vampire mask maybe they would sell a vampire suit to go with it for example? but a new quest or two certainly would be appreciated :D

.....Maybe they will work this into GW beyond and it was actually the mad king and his servants who kidnapped Keiran

Garg skull IS winterdsday. There's a bit of overlap, but there are more collectors for wintersday then there are for halloween.

For Ascalon, same items for wintersday +garg skulls and stormy eyes.

For LA, same items -Glowing hearts; +shadowy remnants, and Hardened humps.

Droknars -averica scalps; +Frigid hearts, dredge manifesto, frozen remnant

Henge only has collectors for halloween.

Kamadan only asks for Copper, termite legs, silvers, and roots. And only in kamadan. Not spread out to the other towns.

BTW, if your charas still have the last quest offered after halloween was over, it's still good. All you need to do is go down to UW, and even just doing the quest 'clearing the chamber' is enough to get you the reward for it once you bring the reaper up. All you need to do is bring along a rit and a couple other people, and it's pretty easilly doable.|||as i remember, isn't the gargoyle skull a trade able thing to?..........maybe i am confusing this with wintersday....
