damage and req question

I just found a wailing wand 11-21 damage with req 8 in factions with crap mod; and I was wondering ''what if it was an inscrible wand with great mods but 11-21 dmg but with req 8?''

what would you do if a caster and/or melee/bow weapon had great mods and req 8 but had 1 dmg off perfect?|||If I needed/wanted that particular weapon type or skin, I would use it. Otherwise merch it, because no one will buy non-max stuff.

Unless it's a Crystalline or something like that.|||Casters don't usually care about weapon damage and melee/bow weapon users will usually have at least 10 or 12 in their requirement anyway.

Generally r8 is valuable for certain builds or shields for some PVP monks.

Unless it was a very rare skin, you'll generally want to get max damage just because there's rarely a benefit not to, vs. doing more damage (however small) if you do.|||Thank you both for the replies! A few years ago, r8 was omfgwtfpwnzors, so I thought r8 was good enough even if it was -1 dmg perfect.
