Wurms. They absolutely suck compared to my h/h team. No spirits, no orders, no minions, no SoH, no SW, no ARage, no MoP, no fast casting ESurge.
My minimum-height girl assassin's spam attacks do more damage than all the gargantuan wurms' fancy schmancy skills combined, the only redeeming one being Blinding Breath which you will die using since wurms apparently use starter ele armor.
It drives me nuts. That is all.|||If you look through the wiki, you'll notice that different weapons deal different damage. Warrior and Paragon weapons deal 55 dmg compared to daggers, bows and caster weapons that deal 40 dmg. When I know I'll stay in Junundu form, I pick warriors and paragons first, and then other professions. I equip a spear on my mesmer (stats aren't important, weapon type is) and get going.
There are more details as to how you can play more effectively with a Junundu (dmg type dealt by weapon, for example), but I'll let you read through the wiki entry.|||I know how to play as a wurm, but the point is their attacks are absolutely awful compared to human skills. It's often more effective to autoattack as a wurm than it is to bother with their skills (desert wurms I'm looking at you.) Their attacks are armor-sensitive except for autoattacks. You might as well go out with 8 flare eles using orison to stay alive.
Also, Alesia literally has more armor than a wurm. Substantially more.|||And yet you can c-space hard mode with them. I know their damage output is not that good, but they have ridiculous survivability. That needs to be balanced...

That isn't the point of the thread people. Read, understand, post stuff that doesn't sound dumb.
The part in the game that requires wurms to travel is just retarded.
They were cool for the niche mission in which you use them, but apart from that just utterly boring and gimmicky.
And to boot they originally put some fairly powerful enemies in the areas, but now those are just ridiculously puny as well due to both extremely powerful skills, pve skills, lightbringer/holy damage etc.
If you draw the parallel to pvp, it's pretty goddam obvious that it's been a huge problem and continues to be so in spite of how obvious it's been since nightfall release.|||Quote:

Yeah... but she has a lot less health. Combine their tunnel skill with a melee attack and you have a highly effective AoE knockdown which puts pretty much everything else in the shade. They ignore DP, have an insanely effective res skill, have a high damage, long range, knock down elite, are largely unaffected by hexes, conditions and a lot of interrupts. They turn all characters in a group into effective damage dealers, can have blinding breath which has to be one of the most effective, highly spammable skills in the game and have their own funky little dance routines.

I had to have a few beers before vanquing anything in the Desolation just because the wurms are so god damned dull to play in. Outside of CB, I don't like the game deciding what my skill bar is going to be, especially when the skills on the bar are so lackluster and slow.|||wtf? WURMS ARE GOOD BECAUSE THEY HAVE SILLY AMOUNTS OF HP AS WELL AS AOE REZ SKILLS. end.|||Insane love for any wurm-hating thread.
